What do you use?

Hello all!
I was trying to find a club in Kent for off-road RC racing, unfortunately I can't even find any off-road tracks, let alone clubs! I have a HPI firestorm (nitro), great fun but even better when there's others to race with...
Anyway this club is closest to me (I think), and wanted to know what cars you use to race. Could I get some suggestions and prices with the extra's like brushless motors and batteries, etc. Unless they come with the car.

Thanks, and Happy New Year!

Rick.

Hi Rick - Welcome. I'm sure you'll get plenty of info from the regular readers of this forum - plus possibly some with second hand cars and gear to sell if you're interested.

Hi Rick

The easiest way to get into 10th Touring cars would be to buy a Hotbodies Cyclone S ready to run. Now I'm sure many people would say get this car or that car but that would cater for what you need.
I cant remember if they come with batteries but I would recommend getting 2 Lipo batteries and suitable charger from day one.
As for brushless I wouldnt worry about that yet. I would get round the track without hitting the barriers first. It may sound silly but its harder than you think if you have never raced before.

That should get you going plus there will be plenty of advise available track side.

Tim

Hi Rick,
We are racing this Sunday if you want to come along and see what goes on.

I'd suggest coming along and having a look to see what takes your fancy. It all really depends on your budget at the end of the day :D

Rick - if you do visit it's possible the front gate will have shut if you arrive after 9.00am. If you need someone to let you in just ring the club phone on 07790 625278.
