A good relaxed days racing I think. Shame about Mike's LiPo pack that went up in smoke (lots of it), but well done to John who assisted it out the door double quick.
Also a good move (IMHO) that we scrapped the reverse grid for mini/mardave.

I didn't think I still knew how to run, :D funny what you can do with a hissing lipo behind you :o

The track was ace, especially the double straight (well sort of). :)

The reverse grid is swings and round abouts. The problem we now have is the faster qualifying Minis are being attacked from behind by the rear drive Mardaves whilst we are happily wheel spinning away from the line

As always though, once we are moving the racing is great and oh so close with some real cat and mouse battles throught out the field. As yes if you are interested Simond did win the drag race, but I was quicker in the turny left and right bits...

Thumbs up :D !!

Great days racing. team tamiya seem to have made their cars wider than standard somehow :?

Biggest difference I have noticed is that whilst the mardaves take a wide racing line, the mini's seemt o dart up the inside. Almost reminiscent of 1960's real racing.

if anyone knows the difference between the Tamiya 540 Sh and 540 J please advise. I may swap over from the G2 if i can keep it cool and go up a gear.

Oh, and apologies for demolishing the track. These £6.95 bodyshells are quite tough you know!

Must say a good days racing and we had a good length practice plus it was all away before 1.30 :D

It was a good day.
And for once the carpet rollers were right on the heels of the shed fillers - Thanks mostly to Ians latest update to 'The Contraption'. Well done Ian.
I guess the lack of shed fillers helped a little too
