Will there be a control tyre for this winter championship? Did Schumacher ever come good with prizes for the last one?

Hi Tim,
I'm not sure if we will do that again, but they did come up with some goodies (I think it was tools).
Ian will be speaking to them and we will look at it again at the committee meeting.

Thanks Brian, I think having no control tyre will work in your favour because it means people can use tyres from other clubs that might enforce one.

If this year is anything like the past couple of years it will be a great winter's racing. See you in October.

- Tim.

Tim

What others are people using then I thought most use Sorex as they are the most readily available?

Hi Tim,

Carpet Wars are using the Xenon or Sorex 28 tyres and the Rug Racers and Eversley series' are using a new Much More Sweep tyre.

If its okay i would still prefer to use VTEC 30's

Also just an idea could we pay for our race fees through Paypal instead of using Google? or would WKRCC consider both options? its just like many people reluctant to keep putting credit card details on various sites.

Hi Paul,

The plan is certainly to offer PayPal again this year. The reason we moved to Google was that their charges were considerably less than PayPals but that all changed during the year and there is now almost nothing to choose between them. It is more likely that people already have a PayPal account I suppose.

For general interest there are likely to be other changes to the booking in procedure to allocate places to only the drivers who have paid. This is because of the number who booked all the meetings last year and didn't show up to any of them! In future if drivers book they will need to pay to secure a place and be added to the on-line list of those racing on a particular day.

There are other things to discuss at the up coming Committee meeting, but I will post on this thread once we have decided what changes to make.
