WKRCC Enduro

It was suggested at the recent committee meeting that we hold another Enduro meeting during this coming winter. It was also tentatively sugested that December 20th (when we have no championship meeting booked) would be a good date. However, we couldn't all agree about how suitable it would be to use a Sunday so close to Christmas, so this thread is for drivers to post with their thoughts on the idea.

I'm in x3.
The 20th is a good choice and the missus will be glad I take the boys out for the day.

They just get so in the way when she is trying to wrap all the pressies up

I'd be a x2 (or join team H if it was a 4 man team)

Stu

The format hasnt been decided yet we are open to ideas. We would like to make it so more people join in and not just the best drivers from any particular club.

I like the idea of 1 car per team but any ideas would be looked into

Sounds good to me :D

Like Tim has already said; I would also like to take the idea one step further and allow only 1 car per team.
It then becomes a real Endurance race rather than a relay.

The only problem is that if we run one car per team - the car will be cream crackered after the race!
At a normal meeting we do 20 minutes racing (3 heats and finals).
At a 3 hour ENDURO you will do the equivalent of 9 meetings racing - very nearly a complete season. It's a novel idea but I'm not sure that it is a viable proposition.

Hmm, my Mini has done more than 9 races without a major service. The only bits I have replaced are the driveshaft, and even then I didn't have to change them.

So long as the gearbox has enough grease in it and there are opportunities to cool the motor down, I reckon it would work.

Regards,

Dan

hmmmm mardaves!
faster than all you mini boys!!!!! thats why youve banned them from this years winter series!
motors can be kept cooler and will get ten minute runs out of a decent lipo!
and wot will break? maybe bend a kingpin now and then!
and a full reprep after will only cost like pennies as there is so few bits!
happy days
but no doubt your ban them from it too lol
hehe
