I ran at 1,356g at Eastbourne last night and the car felt great. All I had to do was take off the fan on the motor, take all the extra weights (but for about 20g) off the chassic and batteries and then position the battery about 4mm further out from the centre line than previously.

I was running some old Sorex 24's and they survived much better at the lower weight, there wasn't any of the characteristic tyre squeal from overheating and the wear rate was almost non existent.

I'd say drop the weight limit to 1,350g.

Obviously we did have to disqualify him for running below the 1450 club limit, but the car did look good...

Maritime has just announced that they're adopting the 1350 weight, also Sidcup has gone with 1350

Just to let everyone know that the Committee has voted in favour of lowering the weight limit to 1350g.
Of course this is the minimum weight (as decided by the AGM of the BRCA at the weekend) and therefore cars can be as heavy as you like provided they do not fall below this level. Probably not too much chance of that :)
