12th rules

Postby chris_dono » Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:27 pm

Hi guys,
Just looking for a bit of clarification here really (I suppose it applies to WGT too)

Is the 4mm ride height rule intended for before or AFTER the run ? Obviously on foams, the tyres wear each run (even if it's not a lot now with Lipo cars) so just wanted to check and guard against failing scrutineering :)

My assumption considering scruitineering is after the race, that it is ride height after the race.

How would you prove you were at a specific height before the race, at the end of the race, without pre-race checking? Don't think there is any time for that.

Has to be after the race as it would be time consuming to scruntineer cars both before and after the race. Hope that clears things up Chris :)

Dan

Hi Darren, Yep, the ride height rule is intended to stop the carpet getting ripped either by the car itself, the edges of the body or by screws that have backed out on the bottom of the chassis.

ran it at the Ardent national and it went very well indeed, I'll have it with me, although I'm not decided on whether to run it or not, spares are still thin on the ground at the moment !
