I think that means Shawn is the Club Champion for Summer 2008 :)

Well done Shawn!

Dan

although I really wasn't expecting it to happen; thanks Dan.

The odd piece of class jumping put a spanner in the works mid season and then the last couple of meetings swung it back in my favour. But 3 points ahead of Luke... couldn't get too much closer than that could it.

The missus is pleased too. She said she can't wait for all that extra plastic ware :)

The booking in will be the same as last year Billy but Dave is hoping to add a piece where tyres can be pre-ordered and then collected on the day.

The only reason I have won the Club Champ award is because we now award that trophy to whoever gets the most points from whatever class, whereas before it went to the winner of the top class.
It falls in line with how other forms of multiclass racing operate and gives a nice little twist to the final results.
As I said I really wasn't expecting it because Luke was getting a full house at most of the meetings in the Stock Brushed class.

I doubt it will ever happen again though...

Hi Billy - yes as Shawn said booking in will be pretty much the same as last year. We'll be offering discounts again to those who book in advance for the series, and I believe there will also be an option to pay via Google as well. I'm just sorting out some details at the moment so hopefully the info and on-line booking will be available soon.
One thing that has changed is that there will be only 3 classes this year:-

27T stock
13.5 Brushless
Open

This will allow drivers with pretty much anything to run in the open class if they want.

Hi Chaps,

What is the definition of the Open Class? No motor limit or 10.5/19t...

Only asking as i may have to swap to 13.5 if there is no limit, don't wanna compete with that hancock guy pulling out a 9.5 or 8.5 to win

It isn't me you want to worry about Darren, it's Terry with his 3.5 ;)

I think the 3.5 might be a little to quick!
Can i run five cell's instead of six? and to a different weight limit? Im going to run five cell in other championships.
