THE 2 DAY MEETING

Hi All,

The 2 day 1/12th meeting on April 12th/13th will now include Tourers on the Saturday and Minis on the Sunday.
Four heats and 1 final.
Cost for the day is £10.
There is an excellent selection of hot and cold food available via the Eastbourne gang that made such a good job of it last year.
Please aim to arrive by 8.15am.

If you would like to race please let me know at brian@wkrcc.co.uk
Please include name, class, ability (1 to 100 where 100 is world champ), freq and p/t number if you have one.
We will give preference to those that have contacted us in advance but hopefully there will be room for some to book on the day.

Quick update.

As so few 13.5's are running on Saturday we aim to drop this and move drivers to 10.5.
So far the drivers contacted have been agreeable to this.
There are 2 drivers that we have not been able to contact as yet.
If you are booked in to run in 13.5 on Saturday and have not been contacted then please be aware of the above.

Hi All,

A great weekends racing I think. We could have done with more drivers but those that did attend seemed to have a good time.
There are some people that we need to say "thank you" to:-

Grant for an excellent track - everyone agreed on that.
Steve Hamblin who was our scrutineer.
The Eastbourne crew (John and 2 young ladies who I assume were his granddaughters) who once again fed and watered us superbly well.
Wim who drove from the West Country to make sure that drivers had plenty of tyres and spares.
Zen racing who sponsored the trophies for GT12.
The BRCA, and particularly Mark who organised booking in for us.
The team who prepared everything on Friday and then cleared away on Sunday afternoon/evening.
If you were one of those who stayed behind to help with clearing then thank you for your help - it was appreciated.
Thanks also to Hayesbrook College who made the facilities available to us and helped in many other ways.

Hopefully, at West Kent, we will get the chance to meet some, if not all, of the 1/12th drivers again.
Nice bunch of people!

Many thanks are due to your self and Ian for the superb way you ran the racing over the whole weekend it was excellent fun even for those of us who, like me, maybe didn't do as well as we had hoped.

I think consideration should be given to running the 12th scale heats on a normal Sunday at 8 mins instead of 5 mins dont think it would add much to the overall running time.

Well done to the West Kent crew, seeing nothing but praise around the internet, good job done by all.

Make it a national next year, and try not to clash with my Wedding Anniversary again... lol
