Stock Brushless advice

Postby Simond001 » Sun Jan 11, 2009 10:54 am

Chaps,

I've bought myself an Ansmann 1/10th chassis.

Could someone recommend a sensible 13.5 motor speedo combo for it. does anyone have experience of the EZRun units, are they any good?

I have placed a wanted ad in case anyone has an old unit for sale, as this is only a sideline to the main Mardave class after all :)

Many thanks

Simond

There are no really cheap Brushless / Speedo combos on the market that I can find so here's my recomendation.

It's the Novak product many people use with no problem and although they are a little expensive the lack of maintenance and ease of use will pay dividends.

Hope that helps.

Oh and my Sepent S400 rolling chassis is for sale. As if I haven't mentioned elsewhere previously ;)

I'd say the best cheap brushless combo's are the speed passion or the losi ones. I've never run one but have heard good things. I'm a tart and like the expensive stuff, doesn't make me any faster though

Yes the Novaks are good I have 2 and the Losi combos are excellent value and I have one in my buggy.
I have had no issues with either so I can recommend either. If you're not used to touring car I would get 13.5 they are plenty fast enough and most of us use them so plenty of advise on gearing etc.

I have plenty of brushed gear going very cheap if you are on a budget.

Thanks Tim,

I may take you up on that offer. Do you want to mail me what you have / want for it

I currently have a set of matched 4300's, and a silver can motor.

Anything better than that will be a benefit.

Just want to try out the Touring car to see if I like the idea. If I do I'll take it seriously and come last with more expensive kit.
