OFF ROAD AT WEST KENT

Postby Brian Mills » Sat Feb 21, 2009 4:11 pm

WKRCC will again be hosting two rounds of the BRCA off road regionals in 2009.
The dates are April 19th and July 5th. One will be 2WD and the other 4WD although I'm not sure yet which will be which.
They will again be held at the rear of the Plough Inn at Leigh in Kent.

Yeah I know. Only got yourself to blame for that one Brian

I had to get him one to be able to pre-book his entries for the winter
Unfortunatly he has now worked out his password so watch out. The worlds his oyster.

On a good note the Buggy is still broken from last time, covered in a foot of dust and a few old Christmas decorations. The shins maybe safe for a little while longer.

Hi Stu,
I believe so but the track belongs to Steve Andrews so it is really his decision.
Will post here if I find anything out.

I got an e-mail from Steve Brook today to say that Steve Andrews is having a practice day on April 26th at the Leigh track. See Steve's mail below for details:-

Steve Andrews has confirmed an opportunity for all 1:10 electric buggy drivers in the South East (and beyond if interested!).

The WKRCC (West Kent Radio Car Club, http://www.wkrcc.co.uk/), outdoors off-road track will be available for an Open Practice Day on Sunday 26 April 2009.

Located at the rear of: The Plough, The Powdermills, Leigh, TONBRIDGE, Kent, TN11 9AJ, the track will be available all day for practice only!

THIS IS NOT A RACE MEETING AS RACE TIMING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY, SORRY!

The fee for the day, with drivers arriving and departing at their leisure, will be £5. The Pub and Toilets will be open early, though at this time there are no arrangements for food early on, though should drivers advise us of their attendance WKRCC (SA) may be able to arrange facilities. There will be the normal pub facilities at lunchtime.

This'll be an ideal opportunity to get some early practice on a 'traditional' grass track so let’s all get along there on the day and support Steve, WKRCC and the South East Region.
