no tyre limits outside, nice

i was only asking as i was thinking about tamiya slicks ect but open tyres is great

as for this motor thing, tested a car with a 16t pinion and a good 27t motor and was comparable to the black can in terms of speed

I can't see where the misleading information is but...
The 60d Radial Tamiya tyre is the treaded tyre with the following options.
50683 - M-Chassis 60D radial tyre
50684 - M Chassis M Grip Radial Tyre
53254 - M Chassis S Grip Radial Tyre

The no control tyre rule only applies to the touring cars.

At the risk of being tiresome, could I politely ask the driver who keeps taking the mini results printouts from the board to leave them in place because I need them!
If you would like a copy of your own during the morning then you only have to ask either Ian or me.

Yep, I agree with that.

As we have never run them outside we really don't know what the problems, if any will be.
Let's just stay as we are for the time being, use it as a learning process and adjust any rules to suit.

We were on the Tennis courts this afternoon with two cars:
Mine had S-Grips rear and M-Grips front..... a shed load of under steer
Rhys' has M-Grips all round..................... perfectly balanced !

If we do need to select another tyre may I suggested the Pit Shimizu that is noted on post 8253 on this page:

Although I haven't tried to find a UK shop that sells them, here's a link for a shop the Austalia that does. It's the 3rd and 4th tyres down the list and it quoted the part number if anyone wants to do some investigating.

The brushless motor worked well on the carpet and there really wasn't much in it between the 18t ans 20t pinions. Both gave the car extra grunt towards the end of the straight compared to the brushed runners but unfortunatly it was just a the moment when the corner was coming up.... shucks! :roll:

When the times appear my first two runs were with the 18 and heat 3 and the final were with the 20.
In all races I was firmly thrashed by Team Ridall :oops:

Actually on the subject of painting, it looks as if Shawn missed some bits on the fence behind the cars!
