World GT Winter Series.

Postby Shawn Herrington » Thu Sep 03, 2009 8:26 pm

Would anyone be interested in entering World GT if we were to introduce them to the winter series?
1s Lipo/10.5bl and possibly 2s Lipo/17.5 bl with control tyres. They would be the Jaco Lilac on the carbon effect rims.

Just a quick yes will do for now as we are getting an idea of numbers. So far there are 4 very possibles from Eastbourne.

Your too modest Shawn, I think you mean available grip :D

Yeah, I hope we can get this class running at the club, they would be superb on carpet.

I'm a bit concerned follwoing Brian's post on the EECC forum.

I do hope that he allows it (or it gets voted in??) as it is proving to be very succesful and a much better alternative to Touring Cars in credit Crunch Crowborough.

Just waiting for the go before i invest in tyres, lipo booster and driving lessons.

It's really that we need to have enough drivers even if we only make up one heat. We don't want it to be like "open" class last year where there were sometimes only 2 in the heat. It may be that we open up the booking-in and see if we reach a viable number.

It will also depend on how we split the 6 heats between TC's, Mini's, etc.... As we only have the hall until 2.00pm (and that includes clearing away) 6 heats is the max we can fit in.

The committee meeting is scheduled for the 15th September so we will soon know.

I think these would be ace to see and I think over the winter this class will get a big following up and down the country.

Anybody got spare jaco tyres ?

I forgot to order any!

If not, any issues with me running something similar this week.

Sorry, only have one set so far, I'm sure nobody would mind you running something else for the practice.
