Round 9

Postby chris_dono » Tue Aug 21, 2012 10:05 am

Is it ok to run 17.5 in touring car ?

Also, I see there's a restriction on tyres for the winter championship, does the same apply for the summer rounds ?

I don't see it as a problem Chris as there isn't that much difference in speed.

Well what a days racing I had.
A very well done to Jevron in Mini, Pole and win. From the off, I tried so hard to catch and pass him but to no avail.
This will (I think) take the Mini Championship to the last race. Even then it will be 1 point in it either way.
As for Touring, it was a battle of attrition with only 2 cars getting to the end. Come on Nathan, Blow up in the final, not the Heats next time. Only joking.
The 12th saw some close racing in the midfield but a dominant race from Tim H, pole to Flag.
I have to agree with everyone on Sunday that used or saw the New Rostrum. What an Excellent pice on Kit and engineering we have now.
Nice one Ian, your a "BLOODY GENIUS".
OK so back to the Vids. I have put on YouTube 3 Vids using the Gopro and 1 using the normal Canon video.
Can I please ask you let me know (face to face your on here) which one is better to watch.

Great mornings racing and the new rostrum is excellent.

Loved the track too. Just need the new shiny hall floor to be scuffed up by the kids then the tape will stick better :D

Gopro gives the better view of most of the track, but is obviously distorted due to being a wide angle lens. Canon gives better impression of the 'real' track layout. Would it be possible to get a pan of the track with the canon, then the race with the gopro? Just a thought.
James' greasemonkey.
