Round 1 - 20th October

Postby Brian Mills » Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:56 pm

Very good to see some new faces to racing and also some old ones (Anton and Andy) returning after a long break.
Some good racing today with plenty of new drivers in Minis.

Thank you to all those who helped to set up and to those who stayed to help clear and pack away afterwards.

Regards
Brian

Another fun meeting, track was a little difficult to get used to, but so was the car.

Dave's summer practice is paying off and looked good inbetween slightly less crashes than me... lol

Well done Dave, and look how quick the results come up with a TQ and Win... ;)

Good rounds in the heat 2 minis, I also found the track a challange to get used to, but it gave way to some great racing with lots of swapping of positions, congrats to Ethan for his first day out, congrats to Matt for tq and win in the finals, looking forward to round 2....

The track encouraged good racing, I'm just sorry I couldn't give Steve Davies a close battle in the final. Maybe next time :D

Thanks to all who helped set up and pack the track away, as always it is much appreciated.

Regards,

Dan

If at first you don't suceed, try a couple more times then give up; there's no use in making a complete fool of yourself!

Saw that the results were up quick too - excellent :D
We used to have videos of the races too, any chance we can get the camera back up? Some of the races are really good to watch again (or for the first time if you're actually in the race. Me, I get plenty of time to watch the race during it, whilst my car's being put back onto it's wheels!! )

It was a shame about the final after we'd been so close all day.

Looking forward to next meeting already!
