Hi Rob
Hope you enjoyed racing on sunday,I was there racing in the f2 class with the silver honda shell,I am racing a m03,from my point of view oil filled shocks and tyers are the way to go..at the moment some of the f2 guys are using pit shimizu treded fronts with sweep slick rears, i know matt who tq the final in f2 was using pit shimizus all round..i noitce you are running a 24t motor which would put you sort of in between f1 and f2,I would reccomend dropping to a silvercan and running in the f2 races as those f1 guys are seriously quick, I ordered my tyers from Darren at Pitz-bitz(hope im allowed to metion that) I havent met him in person but he offered me a fantastic service and fast delivery...there are some great drivers in the mini classes with much more experiance than me and im sure they will be posting some advice for you.I will be down on the next race please feel free to pop over and say Hi..

On a side note
I am currently running

sweep 33 rear, pit medium fronts.roughly 6mil ride height front and rear.hard front springs, medium rear, on my m03
this seems top be a competative set up in f2 but i feel the rear is too planted,so i will be trying soft pits up front or sweep 33 front and sweep 25 rear next race.It has taken me about four full race days to get to this stage, trying different tyres .spring and ride height combos..dont forget to learn how to superglue the side walls to stop traction roll.

Kind Regards
Tony

hi rob i am running a m05 in the f2 i would recommed getting some oil filled shocks and changing the bearings to metal 1s also either some sweep 25 or 33 tyres and the pit shimizu tyres both are really working well on the carpet

hope this helps

Hi
mine was the silver with thin orange stripe on the bottom if that helps,
yes a standard tamiya silvercan is 27t,
suspension wize im not sure what comes on the standard m05,if you have friction shocks ,i belive the most cost efective upgrade would be the 3 racing shocks with matching short spring set or tamiya short spring set, also matt would be correct about having ballraces fitted they will make a big difference in speed if you only metal bushings fitted at the moment.having looked at your lap times they wernt to shabby for a first run out are you sure your m05 was standard and not the pro version?
Kind regards
Tony
