Reverse Grids for Mini Finals ?

Postby Shawn Herrington » Tue Oct 28, 2008 8:48 am

This is something I really like the idea of after seeing the Minis racing at Eastbourne.
As many of you know they run their finals in the opposite direction but because our track alters weekly and the tracking will create alot of dead ends if we did the same; how do you feel about reversing the grid for the finals ?

Assuming at some point we do get the numbers for A & B finals your qualifying time will put you in the corresponding race EXCEPT all the cars in that race get reversed.
for example: the pole sitter starts at the back.

The guys who finish near the back may be in favour, but I'm not sure about the guys at the front!

Nah rubbish. It's no more than what the useual first corner pile up creates anyway :)
It's no different to what some of our 1:1 cousins do is it? Have you seen some of them oval racing nutters making their way through from the back. BRILLIANT STUFF!

The best thing about the Mini's is they are suppost to be a laugh and bring back someting of a novelty factor back to racing.

As a mere button pusher I don't mind either way if we are racing for "fun" :)
