Hmmm still not sure that i'll fit the cut off even when it arrives, may use it on something else......

Batts arrived, you need to trim the batt holder (i think this was demonstrated on rc-mini.net...) a bit as they are a tad too long, but its an easy fix........
I will be changing the plugs for Deans, just noticed my motor also has Deans fitted.

I have 4 batts which will be charged before Sunday, so think I will only need to charge 1 on the day (assuming I have a practice, 3 qualis and a final)

Professor! Most people who put the "P" word in front of my name use a word that is a bit shorter. (That's stolen Brian's next comment!)

Just run a cheap NiMH stick pack, a 3000 type should fit (unless Tamiya have opened up the hole you put the battery through). Any idea where I can get the Tamiya motor, ESC etc. from? I also need a new bodyshell and a few replacement hubs as they seem to be the part that gets damaged the most.

Regards,

Dan

Does this mean that any speedo/motor combo is ok? I doubt I can get a Eurocup-ised Mini by Sunday as I have to fix my Mi2...

I think so Dan - lets be a bit forgiving as it's only a practice meet.

...but in future stick to the Tamiya Motor/ESC spec regs ?

Otherwise before long it will be a case of who has the most expensive, lightest, smallest etc, etc, etc

Yes, as there hasn't been much time to prepare lets be a bit lenient for the practice, but for round 1 I'm sure our friends at Eastbourne won't mind if we adopt their rules which seem to be pretty fair. What do you think?

Well I might be able to lend you a Tamiya ESC and new silver can motor, depends if a certain Mr Simon Lancaster shows on Sunday or not, as I have said he could borrow them.......
