At West Kent we always award trophies twice each year to everyone who has attended the required minimum number of meetings. We also give a large shield to the Club Champion to keep for one year before returning it ready to be inscribed for the next recipient. Additionally the Club Champion receives a small replica shield that is his/hers to keep. We also award trophies in our Junior Championship to all drivers who were under the age of 13 when the series (winter or summer) started, provided they have attended the minimum number of meetings. Once a year we award two extra trophies – the Clubman Trophy and the Chris Janes Trophy. The Clubman Trophy is awarded to the person who the committee thinks has given excellent service to the club. The Chris Janes Trophy is given in memory of one of the club’s founders, to the member who’s driving, in the committee’s opinion, has improved the most. Both of the recipients of the above trophies receive a small replica to keep once the inscribed shield has been returned. |
